FAQs

What did you go to school for?

As a child raised in the bustling halls of public schools by two devoted educators, I embarked on my career adventure armed with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. (I taught at the middle school level for two years!) With a thirst for knowledge that couldn’t always be quenched, I dove deeper and snagged a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy. I had a private therapy practice and do consider returning to it at some point in the future. Think: Semi-retirement plan!

This delightful blend of teaching prowess and therapeutic wisdom has gifted me with a treasure trove of soft skills, making my leap into the tech one that allows me to use what I know (soft skills) in a world I never imagined (tech).

What drives you professionally?

Not tapping into my full potential has been one of my biggest fears, which fuels my desire to learn something new every day. I take pride in my own sense of self-awareness and this pushes me to work outside of my comfort zone to become 1% better.

As an undergraduate with a goal to become a public-school teacher, I would have never in a million years thought that I would end up in tech, managing really cool projects and programs.

But I can also say with pride that I have done the hard work to learn and become proficient in any field that I find myself in. With changes in technology always occurring, this is a great space to foster that love of learning that means so much to me.

What are your hobbies?

When I’m not diving into the world of deadlines and team and client meetings, I'm off on weekend road trips with my husband. We love listening to Dateline podcasts and since my husband is a retired police officer, he’s always offering his perspective on each case (cough, armchair quarterbacking).

We each brought our furry friends into our marriage, and now we're living the dream—or should I say, the doggone adventure with three pups!

Staying active is my jam! Whether I’m hitting the pavement for a spirited run or sweating it out at the gym, I’m all about the perspiration and endorphins. There’s a nugget of wisdom out there: “Strong body equals a strong mind.” So, armed with this motto, I lace up my sneakers and get moving.

Now, let's talk about my secret sauce for planning: my trusty paper planner! Ah, the glorious smell of paper and ink—it’s like a love letter to my inner organizer. As tech-savvy as I am (thanks, modern world), I just can't swap the tactile joy of pen on paper for that iPad screen. I’ve tried, oh I’ve tried, but my planner and I are destined to be together forever.

And if we’re dishing on favorites, I must confess: I’m a certified weekend nap enthusiast. There’s something about that cozy time spent napping that makes me feel like royalty. The world can wait while I embrace the art of snoozing. Honestly, could there be anything better? I think not! 💤✨
